NEW Makeup Revolution Concealer Review

Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

Have you heard? There's a new drugstore concealer taking over everyone's beauty routine! The Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer: a cruelty free, vegan and full coverage formula that not only keeps it easy on your wallet, retailing for just 5 bucks, but also has been crowned as the ultimate high end makeup dupe. I needed to know, is this truly a must have? Will it reach cult beauty status or is it just a makeup trend? Let's have a look!

Revolution Concealer Review

I'm gonna be honest, Revolution isn't a makeup brand I usually go for. I didn't have the best experience with some of their powder products in the past so I stopped buying from their display after that - until now, as you can see. I recently went on a major shopping spree in the city of London and let me tell you, the shade range this concealer comes in certainly doesn't go unnoticed at Superdrug. The Revolution Conceal & Define comes in 25 different colors with cool, neutral and warm undertones. It's meant to conceal and add definition to every makeup look without settling into fine lines or accentuating any pores. The brand proudly calls it: 'the concealer for everyone'.

Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer C2 Swatch

I purchased the shade C2, which I think is one of their neutral shades, as it doesn't seem to have a yellow or pink undertone. I use it to conceal my under eye circles, the tip and sides of my nose, my cupids bow and my chin. The formula of the Revolution Conceal & Define is very creamy, hydrating and super easy to blend into the skin. It does not sink into fine lines and it covers all your pores evenly and beautifully. The finish of this product, I would say, is actually quite divine. I haven't come across a formula like this in a quite a while. I do however have to disagree with Revolution stating it to be mattifying, I find it has more of a natural finish. Even though it's been getting rave reviews all across the internet, I was very sceptical about this concealer considering my past experiences with certain products from this brand.

Makeup Revolution Concealer

The giant doe foot applicator on this concealer is actually quite nice, we've all seen it on the Tarte Shape Tape concealer - and the Revolution Conceal & Define is said to be a great dupe. I didn't think much of the giant doe foot at first, but it's really soft and great for applying product on the face. Overall I'm very impressed with this concealer, it works great and looks amazing on the skin, I would like it to be a little more long wearing but we can't argue that this Summer heat wave is pretty much testing even our best makeup products at the moment.

Revolution Conceal & Define Review

I have to say that Makeup Revolution really have improved their formulas over the past years - as I've also been hooked on their Revolution Pro Brow Pomade. The pomade is extremely long lasting and I couldn't be more pleased about my rediscovery of the brand, my eyebrows and my skin have never looked better. If you're looking for an affordable concealer, I very much recommend trying the Revolution Conceal & Define. I'm confident the formula is great for all skin types and I'm 100% sure you will not be disappointed.

    1. I know how hard it can be to find an affordable makeup dupe for some of your favorite products, I have the same when it comes to my skin care routine, the products are so expensive but I can't seem to be able to find anything else that is just as great!
