KIKO Duo Bronzer Review

KIKO Cosmetics has seduced me yet again with another limited edition bronzer! This time with the KIKO Fall 2.0 Duo Bronzer, which is part of a collection featuring beautiful midnight blue and gold packaging. The Fall 2.0 edition features products such as a Duo Blush, a baked bronzer and highlighter, magnetic eyeshadows and Lip Stylo lipsticks. I was immediately taken by the collection's luxurious look, it reminds me a little of Estée Lauder. Even though the bronzer was a little more expensive than I wanted it to be, I just needed to know if the formula was just as great on the face as it swatched on my finger, smooth and oh, so buttery! I bought two compacts, one for a girlfriend's birthday and one for me. Let's have a look!

KIKO has two different duo bronzers in their Fall 2.0 collection, 01 Bright Life and 02 Latest Technology. My eye was immediately drawn to the lighter shade, Bright Life, if you have a darker complexion you might want to look into the other shade because there's a very noticeable difference between the two. The compact itself has a pretty nice weight to it and comes with a great useable mirror. It contains 7g of product that will last you for a good 30 months.

I think this Duo Bronzer bronzer is perfection! It's not too dark, not too light and it blends out beautifully giving a my skin but better makeup look. The bronzer itself has some luminosity to it which I love, it makes the skin look radiant, fresh and smooth. The highlighter is beautiful too, subtle - but with enough pigmentation to make your cheekbones stand out. I never really mix the two products together, I always use them separately.

On the websites the two shades are described as matte and metallic, I don't find that to be accurate. The bronzer most definitely has a sheen to it and the highlighter seems more like a satin finish to me. This duo is awesome but I do find the description online a bit misleading. Also for my friend, whom I gave this bronzer to, her very first reaction was that the bronzer is not exactly matte, so if that's what you prefer, I'd definitely go and take a look in the KIKO stores first and give it a swirl. I do think you'll like it though! I myself will not grow tired of this bronzer any time soon, it just complements my skin so well. I think this is an awesome bronzer for people with a light complexion.

Do I like to spend this much on a bronzer usually? No, but is it worth it? Yes! The packaging is gorgeous and the product is great. It looks great on the skin and it's great to look at, definitely something I'd take around in my purse for a touch up and brag about to my friends!

  1. I've not tried anything from KIKO before, but I've been seeing it a lot ever since I started blogging. I'm very intrigued by the brand! This duo sounds fab.

    1. I only recently started trying some of their face products, their nail polishes also have a dope formula and their lipsticks are really :)
