Your Nail Polish Picks This Spring Season

Spring has joined us and I couldn't be more excited. I wake up in the morning and the warm sunshine gently touches my face, slowly filling my heart with joy. It's so much more pleasant to get up early when there's no dark clouds waiting to stay with you for the rest of the day. The cold is steadily turning into a swift warm breeze and I can't wait for the sun rays to be beaming with delight. To bring these beautiful Spring vibes to life in my home I've been enjoying buying fresh flowers and changing up my wardrobe with pieces featuring fresher and brighter colors. Beauty wise I've got my makeup pretty much covered and all that's left is a gorgeous Spring manicure! Let's have a look at what Essie has in store for us with their newest Spring collection!

I love how this collection completely melts together with the makeup and fashion trends this season. Pink and green are the colors that really stand out to me. Every time I go shopping every shirt, shoe and purse seem to have exactly those signature shades. Especially dusty pink and kaki green, those are the ultimate go-tos for all fashion brands. Green is also something I've seen coming back in a lot of eyeshadow palettes recently, like the Jeffree Star Androgyny palette, the Urban Decay Afterdark and Nocturnal palette, the Covergirl Trunaked Jewels palette and the Maybelline 26K Nudes eyeshadow palette. The dark blue nail polish Essie released in this collection reminds me of the ocean, the sun, the beach and maybe even some palm trees and a beautiful clear sky. It's really fitting to bring these early Spring vibes to life, I mean who doesn't love a day at the beach? Blue is also the color for home decor this season, every cushion, plaid and vase is blue! The purple and the red, I think were added to bring forward some variety, not everyone is up for some bright popping nail art. Red makes for a more sophisticated look and the dark purple for a night out with a classy twist. The pink shades are definitely my favorites in this collection. In my teenage years I would have gone for the green without a doubt, today I like something more neutral and girly. What is your personal favorite? What would you have chosen when you were younger?

Pink - 480 backseat besties
Blue - 483 all the wave
Green - 478 on the roadie
Purple - 482 designated DJ
Coral - 479 excuse me sur
Red - 481 B'aha moment!

The Essie Spring Nail Polish Collection is available at Di, Inno and Kruidvat, for €12.49 each.

The nail polishes were gifted to me by Essie Belgium.

  1. I noticed that too , green is everywhere lately in the beauty industry! Unfortunately green doesn't look so nice in my medium skin tone! :) so from this collection I'll rather pick the coral and pinky one, lovely post

    bisoussss !

    1. Idem! I haven't been very tempted to pick up green fashion statements either, I think I'm a little too bubbly for it :D Thanks! Bisous Xxxx
