How Much I Spent On Makeup This Month #2

Because I never bothered to keep track of how much money I spend on makeup per month, I decided to start collecting my receipts and write down all of my spending habits. In my head I'm always spending a 'reasonable amount', but is that actual reality? January was the first month where I confronted myself with every penny I spent and I actually was pretty pleased with my total! Today I am a little more nervous, February is a time where a lot of makeup brands launch new collections for the Spring/Summer season, did I manage to stay within limit? What is my limit? Let's have a look at how much money I spent on makeup in the month of February!

- Week 1

This was an expected expense, I have a blog and Youtube channel that focuses on low budget makeup and Catrice is not a makeup brand I want to miss out on! Check out my haul and review of the new 2017 Catrice Makeup Collection on my blog here and on my youtube channel here. Some of their new products are very impressive!

Catrice Prime & Fine Nude Glow Primer €4.59
Catrice 24H Made To Stay Makeup Waterproof Foundation €6.99
Catrice Prime & Fine Makeup Transformer Drops €3.59
Catrice Slim Matic Ultra Precise Waterproof Brow Pencil €2.99
Catrice Liquid Metal Cream Eyeshadow €3.99
Catrice Glam & Doll Sculpt & Volume Mascara €3.99
Catrice Lip Foundation Pencil €2.59
Catrice Velvet Matt Lip Colour & Contour Pencil €2.59
Catrice Ombre Two Tone Lipstick €4.99

- Week 2

I went to the drugstore with the intention of repurchasing a couple of makeup favorites, my haul ended up being a little larger than I anticipated. I got a chance to look at some new products I had no idea where available already and I decided to scoop them all up (impulsive indeed). The KIKO foundation has already been reviewed here and you can see me trying out the new Catrice Eyeshadow palette here!

Catrice Ultra Precise Brow Pencil 010 Light €2.99
Catrice Ultra Precise Brow Pencil 020 Medium €2.99
Catrice The Essential Nude Collection Eyeshadow Palette €4.99
Essence Eye & Face Palette €3.99
Essence Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder €2.99
Essence Camouflage Full Coverage Concealer €2.59
KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation €5.95

- Week 3

To avoid spending too much on the new Essence makeup collection I made sure to make some kind of a 'mood board' before purchasing anything. I made a list of my favorites and what exactly I wanted to try and review. Whenever I buy too much makeup with the intention of reviewing it, I can get pretty overwhelmed, so this was a great idea. The products have already been reviewed on my youtube channel here, you don't wanna miss it!

Essence Instant Matt Ivory Foundation €3.99
Essence Mosaic Blush €2.99
Essence Instant Matt Makeup Setting Spray €2.99
Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara €2.99
Essence Volume Stylist 18H Curl & Hold Mascara €2.99
Essence Volume Stylist 18H Lash Extension Mascara €2.99
Essence Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss €1.99
Essence My Must Haves Highlighter Powder €1.59
Essence Ultra Last Lipliner €1.89

- Week 4

No makeup expenses  (again!) €0

Total amount of money spent on makeup this month: €87.21-

I'm going to be honest and say that I actually was very tempted to spend more. The Too Faced Peach collection has been on my mind ever since it was released and it is finally available at Sephora France. I'm very interested in the Sweet Peach Glow Kit that retails for €40 and the individual blush called Papa Don't Peach that retails for €29. I would have ended up spending €156,21 and not to mention shipping costs that are an extra €10. I don't think I would have been too pleased with myself if I had spent all that money, especially because this bill does not include the home decor I like to buy and other beauty products such a skin and hair care. How much money do you (think you) spend on makeup per month? Share it in the comments!
