Shaka Innovative Beauty Blush Review

Shaka Innovative Beauty is an Italian makeup brand by a drugstore called OVS where I recently went shopping whilst on a trip in Milan, hence the International Beauty & Makeup Haul I uploaded on my Youtube channel. It's an affordable cosmetics brand that has products ranging from lipsticks and lip glosses, to eyeshadow palettes and even makeup brushes. I've known Shaka for a while but this is the first time I've ever tried a product from them. I purchased a Shaka Blush in the shade nr 11 Nude. Let's have a look!

The packaging from the blush is pretty straight forward: it's stirdy and good quality, and the color on top is a match for the blush that you find on the inside. The product contains 4g, is paraben free and, if I remember correctly, they have 4 to 6 different shades available in stores right now. Unfortunately I cannot find this blush on the Shaka website and neither on the OVS website, so for those of you interested, here are the ingredients.

Talc, Mica, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Dimethicone Stearate, Dimethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Diisostearyl Malate, caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Magnesium Myristate, Tin Oxide, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 15850, CI 19140, CI 15850, CI 45410

The look of the Shaka blush itself I find absolutely stunning, the font printed in the blush gives the product a gorgeous and more expensive vibe. The shade that I purchased, nr 11 Nude, is a beautiful nude, bronze color with a peachy undertone. It's a very neutral blush with a satin finish formula, notice how it looks matte in the pan but slightly shimmery in the swatches. Considering that I am pale, and this is an Italian brand, I'm not sure how much this will show up on darker skin tones as it blends out to be quite sheer. The pigmentation is fine, but upon application, I very much get a girl next door makeup look from it.

I categorise this Shaka blush as 'basic', I like it but I'm not positive I will be reaching for this a lot in the future, because there is no it-factor to this product. I expected the blush to give more dimension to my face and for the shimmer to light up my cheek bones. When I wear this my face looks a bit flat and I don't enjoy that very much. If you like basic and bronzy, I'm sure you'll appreciate this formula, though this blush was not a hit for me I will happily be trying more products from this brand.

  1. Oh dear, the swatching looks amazing :) and looks too pretty to miss it! Not sure I can find it here in UK, but I guess I can try to go for online shopping as long as Brexit is not yet a deal hahaha.
    Xxx Becca
PS Sorry I have not commented in a while, but was massively busy. I kept on reading though :P

    1. Hi Becca! So nice to hear from you again :D I hope all is well. I'm not sure if Shaka Beauty is available online but for as long as Brexit hasn't gone through you could book a little trip to Italy haha ;) Xxx
