Mixa Anti-Redness Hydrating Cream Does it work?

Redness is the reason I started wearing makeup and because of makeup I started taking care of my skin better. I've had red cheeks since the day I was born but good cleansers, toners and moisturizers certainly have a great difference. Not so long ago a new skin care brand launched in Belgium: Mixa, the sensitive skin expert. The Hydrating Anti-Redness Cream really spoke to me, for obvious reasons, so let's find out what this is all about!

I introduced this cream both in my morning and evening skin care routine replacing my Olaz Total Effects Moisturizer. It contains cold cream to calm the skin, arnica to reduce the appearance of redness and green pigments to color correct the skin. The formula is hypoallergenic and without parabens.

Even though the cream corrected my skin nicely from its redness and worked excellent as a makeup primer I was not very pleased with the sent nor with the little red bumps that appeared on my face after using it for 2 weeks straight. Mixa claims to use only a minimal amount of ingredients to reduce the risk of allergies, but the ingredient list clearly says otherwise and so does my skin, which was in fact irritated hence the little red bumps. The list is really long, I've seen regular skincare products use less ingredients and I would certainly have preferred this product, especially for sensitive skin, not to have any sent at all to be fair. I don't recommend this at all.

Ingredients: aqua/water, isononyl isononanoate, glycerin, octocrylene, niacinamide, dimethicone, ethylhexyl salicylate, diisopropyl sebacate, sucrose tristearate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ammonium polyacryldimethyltaur amide/ammonium polyacryloyldime thyl taurate, methylsilanol/silicate crosspolymer, drometrizole trisiloxane, ascorbyl glucoside, polysorbate 61, arnica montana flower extract, butyrospermum parkii butter/shea butter, caffeine, caprylyl glycol, cera alba/beeswax, cetyl palmitate, ci 19140/yellow 5, ci 42090/blue 1, citric acid, cupressus sempervirens seed extract, dimethiconol, disodium edta, peg-12 dimethicone, phenoxyethanol, polygonatum multiflorum rhizome/root extract, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, sodium stearoyl glutamate, xanthan gum, parfum/fragrance.
