NEW Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Review

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Review

Urban Decay has a couple of new products in their makeup line: the UD Troublemaker Mascara, which has been making headlines pretty much everywhere ever since it launched as it claims to be sex proof, and 2 new vice lipsticks with a cream finish: Backseat and Roach. This past Summer I had the amazing opportunity to work together with Urban Decay Belgium for the launch of their newest palette and that's where I also learned more about their lipsticks. I have another Vice lipstick with a metallized finish, in the shade Scorched, and I absolutely love the formula, which is pretty surprising in my case since I seem to have a problem with most high end lipstick formulations. Today I want to know if I like this new cream Vice lipstick just as much as their metallized one.

My thoughts on the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks

I love the packaging on the UD Vice Lipsticks, they photograph amazing too. They look luxurious and I like all the little details the brand incorporated, it definitely makes me want to buy and try more of their products. Backseat was sent to me in a very shiny PR package, I was beyond excited. Urban Decay has 47 different Vice lipsticks with a cream finish, each retails for €19.50 with colors ranging from very bold to very neutral. This lipstick in particular kind of lays in the middle for me, Backseat is a vampy color but with a neutral edge. Let's have a look!

The Urban Decay Vice Cream Lipstick in Backseat

The reason why I love the metallized Vice Lipsticks from UD so much is because the formula is pigmented, longlasting and lightweight. Many high end lipstick formulas are creamy but thick and almost greasy, which is not a feeling I enjoy on my lips. I don't like to worry about having lipstick on my teeth or having it smearing all over my mouth when I'm trying to speak. I need it to stay put and just slowly fade into a nice flush of color when I'm challenging it with my eating, drinking or talking habits, and I talk and eat a lot. The cream finish of the Vice lipsticks is very different from the metallized one, it has even more color payoff and the formula is kind of wet looking on the lips. It's hydrating and perfect for the Fall and Winter season. I'm a fan! Also before I go, Urban Decay let me know that they now have their very own online Belgian webshop, so if you're interested in purchasing some of their amazing makeup you can do that here at: urbandecay.be - happy shopping!
