Maybelline Master Blush Palette Review

Maybelline has a new palette available in their makeup displays at the drugstore: the Master Blush Color & Highlighting Kit. I previously reviewed the Master Bronze kit so don't forget to follow up with that post once you've got my thoughts on this new beauty! Maybelline was kind enough to send me a couple of their new products and I couldn't be more excited, is this blush palette an absolute must have? Let's have a look!

The Maybelline Master Blush Palette comes with 4 shades: 3 blushes - a purple, a vibrant pink, a nude, and 1 fairly neutral highlight, which has a slight pink undertone.

I love the vibe of this palette, the pattern in the product is very eye catching and it looks bold and summery.

Even though the formula of this palette is not as smooth as the bronzers in the Maybelline Master Bronze Kit, the pigmentation is still on point and it applies great on the skin. Those swatches are just one swipe, I didn't expect that at all considering these blushes feel a little more powdery compared to the bronzers in this line. I do have to say that, even though the swatch is great, the highlighter in this kit is not all that, the effect of the highlight is very subtle, too subtle, and the powder cakes on easily, showing texture on the skin, so be careful with that one! It needs to be handled with a light hand.

I like the Maybelline Blush palette, it offers a lot of variety, the blushes blend well on the skin and the pigmentation is great, but do I think this palette is for everyone? No, not really. I, for instance, shy away from very bold colors because I'm rather pale. My go to blush in this palette is definitely the pinky, nude because it's soft, subtle and very pretty on my cheeks paired up with neutral eyes and a luscious brown or plum lipstick. In my opinion this palette is a great fit for those of you with a deeper, darker skin tone, especially when it comes to the blushes.

The Maybelline Master Blush Palette is available exclusively at Di & Kruidvat for the retail price of €15.99

  1. De tweede kleur vind ik inderdaad wel erg mooi, maar de anderen toch echt iets te :(. Jammer dat de highlighter niet zo goed is, anders had dat nog wel een reden kunnen zijn om hem te kopen.

  2. The second and fourth shade look beautiful! I think the fourth shade would look really good on deeper skin tones xx Nikita
