L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara

Whenever I think about great drugstore mascaras, my mind immediately goes to L'Oreal Paris. Their mascaras have amazing, long wearing formulas that can easily beat the best high end makeup brands and they score even higher as cult makeup favorites for many beauty bloggers because L'Oreal just always makes sure your lashes look stunning! Time after time the L'Oreal team surprises us with new formulas and today I am reviewing the newest: the L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara! Let's have a look.

A couple of weeks ago, L'Oreal kindly sent me a beautiful PR package containing 4 of their newest Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascaras and I couldn't wait to put them to the test! Today I'll be reviewing the Mega Volume Waterproof and the Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascara. The other two mascaras are colored, and since I would never personally wear colors such as blue and turquoise I have decided I will be giving them away on my Twitter, so make sure to stay tuned for that!

First of all, the packaging of these mascaras is absolutely stunning, I love the pastel pink, blue and green! These Baby Rolls are definitely eye catching and super cute. When it comes to the wand I think we can all agree that it's very oddly shaped, I was definitely impressed. Whether it is a wand that works, that's something we'll be discussing further on, so far it looks like something that could be described as a drill, pretty badass if you ask me!

I love having very thick, long lashes and as you can see in the images, my lashes aren't very dramatic. They look nice but they look basic. This is the regular Mega Volume Baby Roll Mascara, multiple coats of it. The waterproof Baby Roll formula looks pretty much identical, I don't really have a preference, the waterproof version is also not pain to remove after a long day. With some waterproof mascaras you sometimes keep rubbing your eyes until they're red, with this formula I don't have that issue. I do have to say that you can't really tell I tried to layer the product over and over again, which is good because that means there's no clumping involved but it's also a bit meh because I had to put in a lot of effort for my lashes to look like this. They do look nice and long though, especially my lower lashes, so it for sure is a great lengthening mascara.

I like the mascara but I can't stand the bush, it's great for the lower lashes but I don't feel like it's capable of coating the upper lashes properly. Maybe I just have to get used to it but so far I find the wand difficult to work with. The bristles point in all the wrong directions, I'm pretty sure if this mascara would have come with a different, regular brush I would enjoy it a lot more. I do want to remind you that the formula is definitely volumizing and that with this mascara my lashes hold up pretty much all day long, looking beautiful, natural and feathery. The formula is also easy to clean up with a cotton bud when mascara ends up on your eyelid during application and there's no flaking throughout the day.
