Essence Makeup Haul
Friday, 19 May 2017
Where I live the Essence Cosmetics makeup display is pretty much always raided - so on a little trip to Gent (a cute city about 30 min from Brussels) I made sure to hit the drugstore for some beautiful and fully loaded makeup racks. I wasn't really sure what I was looking for, but who does when they're shopping for makeup and they don't need any! I scored some awesome items and I can't wait to share them with you today!
After reviewing the new 2017 makeup collection by Essence Cosmetics I thought I was pretty much done with their products for a while but after taking a good look at the Blushplay palette I changed my mind. I never planned on picking up that particular sculpting blush palette for the simple reason that I just wasn't interested. Taking a good look at it yesterday I suddenly had the urge to put it in my basket. All 3 pans look super smooth in texture and I love the color combination, I cannot wait to review it. I've always been enthusiastic about Essence blushes, maybe I should have picked this up long ago?
When it comes to the Essence 2 in 1 Eyeshadow & Liner, this is a product I was requested to review on my Instagram after it was featured in a magazine (don't remember which one unfortunately). Yesterday I found a fully stocked stand and I picked out peach perfect. When I swatched the tester on my hand I was really impressed with the pigmentation, the blendability and the staying power. I thought it would perform like any other eyeshadow pencil, meaning a pain to blend and that it would ball up on my skin but it didn't. I'm excited to put this product to the test.
The Essence Make Me Brow has been a long time repurchase, it is an absolute must have to keep my blonde brows in place, you can check out my budge proof eyebrow routine here. The Essence Soft Brightening Face Perfection Primer on the other hand is new and limited edition. I usually never buy limited edition products because the time that they're available is so limited it's not even worth it to me. I picked this up because I haven't seen an Essence primer in a while and it swatched beautifully on my skin. It smells nice and it looks like it would be a nice makeup base. Also the packaging is beyond cute. I wish Essence would bring out more white and nude products like this!
