Whenever there's word about a low budget foundation I haven't tried I'm always all ears. KIKO Milano is a brand I have not purchased from in a while as I've seen some changes and increase in prices, so overtime I started focussing on more budget friendly options such as Essence and Catrice products. The KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation however retails for only €5.95 (currently on sale for €4.10- on KIKO Belgium), the packaging is simple but sleek and the name is very appealing. I couldn't wait to give it a go. Here are my thoughts!
The KIKO Universal Fit has a very nice, basic foundation formula. It blends well, has a light to medium coverage and feels comfortable on the skin. The color selection is great, as you have a chance to choose from 21 different shades with colors ranging from very light to very dark, and the staying power is excellent. I like to blend this foundation with a sponge and set my t-zone with my favorite powder to keep the product in place all day long. While I really appreciate such a great formula for a low budget price I do have to add that the product definitely has a tendency to oxidise and sink into fine lines a little bit, so a good primer is definitely a must. Watch me use this foundation live in a tutorial here.
I enjoy this foundation a lot, even though it's not full coverage, it makes my skin look like porcelain. The finish is beautiful, longlasting and I think you should try it as well. I purchased shade nr 15 Warm Beige, it's a little dark for me so I love to mix it with a couple of drops of my favorite CC cream and the Catrice Makeup Transformer Drops to make sure it matches me to a T.
