L'Oreal Cushion De Soleil Bronzer

After reviewing the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation, I couldn't wait to try the cushion bronzer that was released right along with it: the L'Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil Fresh Glow Bronzer. I was so impressed with the formula of the foundation that another cushion product review definitely was appropriate, and a fresh beachy tan is something I'm always into. L'Oreal is the first company to release drugstore cushion products in Belgium, let's have a look! Are cushion bronzers a yay or a nay?

The details of this Cushion De Soleil packaging I find even prettier than the cushion foundation. The bronze, golden compact is beautiful and I love how the applicator sponge, to #taptap the product onto your skin, matches and makes it a whole. The compact comes with a great quality mirror on the inside and underneath the sponge is a cap that seals off the cushion to avoid it from drying up. The fresh glow bronzer comes in, only, one 'universal shade', presumably fit for a lot of different skin tones and the product is dewy without containing any shimmer.

The formula is exactly as lovely as the foundation, it's creamy, pigmented, applies smoothly and is buildable. I've used this product in two different ways, underneath my foundation and on top. The formula is quite dark to be a universal shade, especially if you're someone with a fair skin tone. Even though it is doable to apply all over the face, underneath foundation as a primer, for an extra tan look, I very much prefer using it for cream contouring. It works wonderfully that way and blends into the skin like a dream, the staying power is exceptional and it looks amazing. I've never had any issues such as the product looking patchy or melting down, not underneath or on top of my makeup.

If there's one thing about this bronzer that I don't like, it's the fact that it barely contains any product. This compact only has 15 ml of product whilst a regular foundation bottle usually contains 30 ml. The reason why I haven't finished this Fresh Glow Bronzer yet is due to the fact that I apply it with a brush instead of a damp sponge. If you are eager to give this cushion makeup a try I would definitely give it a go! It's unlike anything else I have in my makeup collection and it totally lives up to the hype.
