Wunderbrow Semi Permanent Brow Gel

Let's face it, when it comes to makeup, brows can really make or break your look, so having the perfect eyebrow gear is essential! I love doing my brows, from the tweezing, to the shaping to creating the perfect eyebrows to frame my face. A couple of weeks ago I got the opportunity to try and review the Wunder2 Wunderbrow 1-Step Brow Gel. Dealing with sparse, light and pretty much non existent brows, I was very eager to see what it could do for me. Perfect semi permanent brows, using permafix technology, in less than 2 minutes, that lasts for days? Yes please!

Shaka Innovative Beauty Strobing Palette & Illuminating Highlighter Sticks Review

Strobing, highlighting, illuminating, as long as every cheekbone gets to shine every makeup addict is happy, including me. I love a pretty, affordable, drugstore highlighter. It gives dimension to my face and a fresh and healthy glow. Did Shaka Innovative Beauty convince me? They kindly sent me a strobing palette and two illuminating highlighter sticks. Let's have a look!

Shaka Beauty Strobing Palette 101 Highlighting €8.99

I'm not that excited about the Shaka Beauty Strobing Palette. The texture of the shades is greasy, the shimmer particles don't look very flattering on the skin and there isn't too much of a difference between all the shades when they are swatched. The formula feels very vaseline-like which is not something I enjoy applying underneath or over top of my makeup. It moves around my foundation and ends up all over my face, making me look like a disco ball. I like the idea of this strobing palette a lot but I think it could definitely be improved. I wasn't sure about the texture of these highlighters before I swatched them for review, but now that I do I think these would have been great in powder form.

Shaka Beauty Illuminating Highlighter Stick 02 Pearly Rose €4.99 (top swatch)
Shaka Beauty Illuminating Highlighter Stick 4 Coral €4.99 (bottom swatch)

The Shaka Illuminating Sticks on the other hand, are pretty great. When I used them for the first time my eyes widened in disbelief. The pigmentation is excellent and the effect on the skin is beautiful. They're a little greasy but nothing you can't work with or that affects the rest of your face makeup. I love to apply these with my Beautyblender Micro Mini Makeup Sponge dupes. The texture is comfortable and the effect is a beautiful and intense highlighted look. Of course the Coral Highlighter is better off used as a blush if you have a pale complexion, both these colors used together are beautiful. Shaka Beauty has 6 different shades available all fit for different skin tones.

Shaka Innovative Beauty is available at OVS, Upim & Coin.
