What I Learned Trying 1€ Press On Nails For A Day

During an afternoon shopping stroll I found these cute, matte, baby pink press on nails at Primark for as little as €1,50-. Since I've never had a manicure in my life and wanted to have a feel for what stiletto (or claw) nails would look like on me, I thought this was a great opportunity. You can't go wrong with a pack of 24 individual, pink nails for that cheap. After some shaping and glueing, here's what I found out trying €1 press on nails for the first time!

I know how tempting sugary and unhealthy foods can be and how the complete opposite, like starving yourself, can also seem like a good idea. I know how 'devouring lots of fruits and veggies' sounds like absolute bull crap, because at times that's all you eat and still, you feel worn-out and consumed by sadness. Self Care Diary #1 - July 2016

As most of you know I've had a lot of tough moments to endure in the past couple years. Now that I'm recovering and going to therapy every week, I've learned the major importance of practising self care, and how much I suck(ed) at it. If you're not familiar with the term self care, it basically is the time you take to do what is healthy for you and your emotional and physical wellbeing. It can vary from enjoying a long, hot shower, to decluttering your house, to treating yourself for a little shopping or a lunch date with a friend. Practising self care is different for everyone. As a child, I was taught to feel guilty about self care, every single thing I did needed to have a greater purpose, well ... not anymore. I'm a 26 year old, adult woman and I'm going to take care of myself.
