I've never been a makeup remover wipe advocate. They are a great quick fix, travel friendly and cheap for sure, but they sting, burn and are not considerate or caring for your skin at all. Micellar waters instead I have loved from the very moment they hit the market. They only contain a minimal amount of ingredients (that you can actually count on one hand), are beyond gentle and remove your makeup in the best fashion. Micellar water makeup remover wipes have been on the market for a while, but an awesome budget friendly option only caught my eyes last week. Will these wipes replace my beloved Garnier Micellar Water? Let's have look!
I love the Garnier Micellar Water because it doesn't irritate my skin when I remove my makeup. It contains no perfume, no parabens and it's hypoallergenic. I've been using this water together with my Olay Daily Facial In a Box as a part of my skincare routine and my face has always looked great and for the most part break out free. Moist makeup remover wipes have not been a part of my makeup routine for absolutely ages so I was quite excited to try these. I love the packaging Delhaize gave to these, it's a very clean and sleek look.
The Delhaize Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes have quite a strong chemical scent to them, it's not unpleasant but I thought I should mention it. Every time I'm about to use a wipe I almost feel like I'm about to remove my makeup with a moisturiser. The ingredient list of this product is quite long and a little disappointing, as if they didn't take the purpose of micellar water seriously, so I don't recommend using these wipes to remove your eye makeup, as it did leave a feeling of irritation. Apart from that I have to say I'm actually quite impressed. They are not the most amazing makeup wipes but I'm able to remove My Everyday Makeup with just one cloth (which can be a lot of makeup at times). My skin doesn't burn or sting and the wipes don't leave an uncomfortable feeling afterwards. The product doesn't claim, like many micellar waters do, that you don't have to rinse your face afterwards but I tried it anyway and had no issues.
Delhaize Care Micellar Water Makeup Remover Wipes €2.45
I've tried many makeup remover wipes and I disliked most of those from the get-go, so I'm surprised I actually like these. I don't think I'll repurchase them anytime soon but they are for sure on my must buy list for travel.
