Following up on the article where I talked about 3 low budget face primers, I wanted to continue with affordable eyeshadow primers. Primarily, eye primers that I love but with 3 completely different formulas. Whatever skin type you might have, there is a great drugstore eye primer in this post for you, that actually works!
If I had to pick my all time favorite eyeshadow primer, it most definitely is this one from H&M Beauty. The Eye Fidelity Primer doesn't only contain ingredients that will keep your eyeshadow from creasing all day long, it also actively reduces any kind of redness you might have on your eyelid. It is a liquid concealer type product that is great at keeping oils at bay, and just in case you're interested: it is also capable of reducing the size of break outs and minimize irritation, when used as an actual concealer. When I use the H&M Eye Primer I don't get a low budget vibe from it at all, it very much feels and works like a high end product to me, if not better. I highly recommend it.
Essence Cosmetics Eyeshadow & Primer €2.89
If you're looking for a Mac Paint Pot-like product, you are in the right place, Essence Cosmetics just recently released 2 new cream eyeshadow primers that could very well be a great dupe. The formula is highly pigmented, buttery, easy to blend and creates an awesome base for powder eyeshadows. I like to apply this on a clean or concealed eyelid and then powder it off with my favorite setting powder before applying any kind of color. I'm particularly impressed by the formula because I usually do not enjoy cream products very much, but this is different: the cream is thin yet has great color pay-off, I like it a lot.
Etos Eye Shadow Primer €3.99
This eye primer doesn't have a pleasant scent but it's a great product. It's a thick, silicony, light pink cream that blends in easily, mattifies the eyelid and brings intensity and blendability to any eyeshadow. I'm a fan! It doesn't color correct, but it will keep your shadows intact for the whole day.
