After the launch of the Primark PS PRO makeup line, Primark Beauty added some new PS PRO makeup tools to their shelves. One of them is the blue, non latex Flat Edge Blender that retails for only €2.50-. I love applying my makeup with a great quality makeup sponge, it makes for a beautiful, flawless finish to the skin and a lightweight and airbrushed feel. I've tried Primark makeup sponges before and to be honest it was quite disastrous, did Primark Beauty step up their game? Let's have a look!
I picked up the Primark Flat Edge Blender because it is almost identical to the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, which is a makeup sponge I absolutely love to apply my foundation and concealer with. Even though it is an affordable sponge, especially compared to the Original Beautyblender, it's not really that cheap. That's where the Primark Blender comes in, is it a dupe?
I have to be honest and say that it's not a dupe. Primark tried pretty hard though and I absolutely applaud them for that. The blue sponge is nice but it's not nearly as great as the Real Techniques Sponge. It's not as soft when it's dampened with water and base products don't go on as flawlessly. You can hear the tapping sound it makes on your skin when you blend in product, which is something that doesn't happen with soft sponges. Is it a decent sponge to do your makeup with however? Yes it is, for that price it's actually fantastic.

If you're looking for a simple makeup sponge to do your makeup with I would say this one is a good candidate, it's better quality than any of the other Primark makeup sponges (non PS PRO), and in my opinion also better than sponges from other low budget makeup brands such as Catrice and Essence Cosmetics. Personally I did expect the quality from this Primark Blender sponge to be better, especially after reviewing the PS PRO Non Latex Mini Blenders. Those are awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for Micro Mini dupes from beautyblender. After my negative review of their PS PRO makeup line I'm actually quite happy I found something about this new collection that I like, the PS PRO tools. They are not perfect but they are such an improvement from what they previously offered so I'm planning on reviewing more, the Oval Blending Brushes for example. I've already done a first impression on my youtube channel, but I cannot wait to feature them on my website!
