Primark PS PRO 3 euro Beautyblender Micro Mini Makeup Sponge DUPE - Hot or Not?!

Primark has expanded their makeup department. Next to the extremely affordable PS Love makeup line they have recently launched the PS PRO makeup line that offers a wide range of makeup products such as the PS PRO longwear mineralised foundations and concealers, the PS PRO miracle, illuminating and mattifying primers, the PS PRO rich color lipsticks and the PS PRO ultra shine lip glosses. Along with that come a couple of PS PRO makeup tools, one of them being the PS Pro 4PK mini blenders. They look like the beautyblender micro mini sponges, is it a dupe?

Using makeup sponges to apply cosmetics has been very popular over the past years, especially the egg shaped makeup sponges, and rightfully so. They give a gorgeous, airbrushed finish to the skin, and a very lightweight and natural appearance to every cream, liquid and powder face makeup product. Unfortunately the best makeup sponges are not always the cheapest ones. The leading brand every makeup lover turns to for exquisite quality sponges is most definitely beautyblender, which in return, of course, also is the brand every cosmetics company tries to beat in terms of providing their customers with the softest, most effective and durable makeup sponge, for cheaper. Beautyblender's makeup tools are pricey.

Having tried makeup sponges from Primark Beauty before, I was very sceptical about the PS PRO Mini Blenders. From my experience Primark sponges are very bad quality, carry an awful plastic scent that can't be washed away and aren't in any way adapted to applying makeup, whatsoever. My first couple makeup sponges from the brand made it to the trash bin very quickly. To my surprise, when I opened the little box these came in, the Mini Blenders didn't have a scent at all, they are soft to the touch and genuinely seem like decent makeup sponges. When I held one under water to see how it would react, it absorbed the water exactly like a beautyblender sponge would. It grew in size (see picture below) and didn't become hard, as most low budget makeup sponges do when dampened. You can imagine my excitement!

I'm very impressed with the Primark Non Latex Mini Blenders. I added them to my regular, daily makeup routine to apply concealer, setting powder, highlighter and blusher, and they posed to be no problem whatsoever, to the contrary! My makeup applies exactly the same as it would when using a beautyblender or Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge. I have decided to continue using these especially for applying setting power and highlighter, the results are awesome. When it comes to the size of the PS PRO Mini Blenders I have to say that they are quite small, in fact, but I doubt that the beautyblender micro minis, that are meant for highlighting and contouring, are much different. I definitely cannot wait to purchase the bigger PS PRO Blender sponge, that is sold in a blue color. I wonder if the quality is the same, because if it is, I will be saving a lot of money on makeup sponges in the future.
