LIDL has an affordable makeup collection by the name of Cien Beauty carrying products such as foundation, lipstick, lipgloss and more recently the Cien all-in-one BB cream SPF 15. Blemish balm creams are a great Summer staple, especially for a light and luminous makeup look. Here are my thoughts on the most affordable BB cream on the beauty market yet!
The packaging of the Cien BB cream was kept simple and in my opinion really pretty and eye catching. There are 2 different shades available, Light and Light to Medium, and the product aims to correct imperfections, even out your skin tone, soften the skin, reduce wrinkles and provide 24h hydration. I have to say I'm very impressed with the formula of this product, it has a thick, whipped consistency that blends really easily and evens out any texture or pores you might have, exactly like a makeup primer would do. The products goes on matte to then later transform and take on a dewy finish, giving a fresh glow to the skin. The lightest shade has a light to medium coverage and oxidizes to a slight beachy, tan look. Any wrinkles you might have look smooth, are less apparent and your skin is hydrated and healthy, after application.
I love to apply this this Cien BB cream with my Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge, combine it with the Miss Sporty perfect stay 10h liquid concealer and set both products with the H&M perfectionist finishing powder. For a bit of color on the cheeks I recommend one of the Essence mosaic blushes, and as a highlighter the Essence Pure Nude highlighter. The BB cream is an excellent base, for low-budget and drugstore makeup, and has great longevity.
The second ingredient of the cream is glycerin which is very known for hydrating the skin, making products stick to the skin and give a great boost to your makeup look giving it a flawless finish. It contains no alcohol, no paraben and also the amount of perfume was kept to a minimal. I love this product, it is the best low-budget BB cream I've tried so far!
