Miss Sporty Perfect Stay 10H Pressed Powder

Not so long ago I reviewed the NYC Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder and on a recent trip to the Netherlands I had another chance to check out makeup display from Miss Sporty Cosmetics and fell on an item looking exactly the same: the Perfect Stay 10H Pressed Powder in 001 Light. NYC only has 2 shades available of their powder and even the lightest is too dark for me. Miss Sporty had more variety, 4 to be exact. Since I already was a fan of the Perfect Stay 10H Concealer from this brand I was really looking forward to making a comparison between the two powders, and potentially using it as a setting powder on a daily basis. Let's have a look!

I discovered both brands are owned by the same company, COTY. I already had done some research when it came to my previous Miss Sporty Makeup Haul about the firm but I somehow missed they also owned the brands New York Colors and Bourjois. I guess I didn't do it as thoroughly as I would have liked, let's have a look.

I think we can all agree that the packaging of both products is identical, except from the brands' fonts and the claims made for each product. From what I have found online I have reasons to believe the Perfect Stay Powder recently underwent an update and used to be called the Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Smooth Powder, of course I cannot be sure but it seems quite a match for me. I didn't get a chance to compare the ingredients but both powders feel and swatch the same. I really like the NYC powder because it's smooth and not chalky like many other low budget ones. The product melts into the skin and gives a beautiful finish, it just showed up too dark which is why I'm so excited about the powder from Miss Sporty. It's lighter than the NYC BB radiance and a bit darker than what I usually use but it's perfectly do-able especially now that the Spring season has started.

I'm very impressed with what this powder can do for being so affordable, it only retails for €3.49-. I get a bit oily throughout the day but a blotting paper or a little touch up is all that's needed. I'm so happy I found a cheaper solution to my H&M Beauty Immaculate Compact Foundation, I recently dropped the compact and I just can't see myself spending the money again. Miss Sporty has my back for now and I'm loving it.

Q: What's your favorite powder? Is it low budget or high end? Have you ever tried makeup from NYC or Miss Sporty? Be sure to let me know in the comments!

  2. I have tried NYC lip products only so far. I am currently using Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and Powder. I have a hard time finding a perfect match for my slime tones.

  3. My current favourite pressed powder is from Revlon, the Colorstay line. The powders seem fine and doesn't cling to my dry patches each time I apply. I'm also currently using the Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder, but it cakes!!:<

This looks interesting tho! Does it come with a puff?

    1. I don't think I've ever seen the Colorstay powders! The foundations yes, it's still on my list of makeup I really need to try :D The powder from Miss Sporty comes with a puff yes, I personally never use them which is why they are missing in the pictures ;)
