Tous en Noir #jesuisparis

Out of respect of what happened in Paris on Friday the 13th I pushed back my scheduled post and wanted to participate, not only with my blog but also personally, in the 'Tous en noir' initiative to show my support to the French and to the families that have been affected by this tragedy.

'Tous en noir' means 'everyone in black' as wearing black is foremost an expression of grief. I've noticed some people have been throwing shade about the hashtags that are going around such as #pray4paris, saying praying is a waste of time and that we care more about trending. I think these hashtags only represent how strong we are, how different nations can work together, support each other and be one.

  1. I am still in shock for what happened, and for the fact that people are jumping at each others' throats to see who is the most sensitive to the facts of the world and miss the point that this was not just hitting people but trying to undermine a symbol of democracy and free thinking!

    1. Totally agree with you on that, I was out in a pair of heels with a friend when it happened and I laughed saying 'dude I'd be completely helpless in these shoes if something were about to happen' and then I woke up to that news the next morning :(
