Makeup trends often change but the one trend that always makes a comeback is definitely the dark, vampy lip. Essence Cosmetics released a new longlasting lipstick: nr 18 Velvet Matt. It is part of a matte lipstick series Essence launched starting with longlasting lipsticks nr 14 and nr 15, followed by Velvet Matts nr 23, nr 24 and nude lipsticks nr 07 and 08.

I recently found a letter I wrote when I was 18. I was studying at university at the time and the exams period was approaching. I wrote a lot of letters to myself when I was a teenager. I used to have boxes filled with papers, diaries and scrapbooks. I threw those all away months ago because they made me really sad. I was a very depressed teenager. The letter was hidden in a newspaper I had kept from 2008, there were 3 papers. My instant reaction was to tear the papers apart but in the end I only ripped up two. It's still a depressing letter but somehow also quite hilarious. I realized I actually don't feel that much different compared to back then. I'm still a little lost girl who hates the entire world.

Nude Love hit the shelves pretty late, I believe it was only launched after nr 15 Oh so matt was already being put to the test by every beauty blogger out there. I've always been enthusiastic about the new longlasting lipsticks from Essence. They have a nice, creamy formula and are super comfortable. The packaging is a big improvement compared to the older collections and the color selection is beyond anything you can imagine. Let's see what Nude Love has to offer.

I'm a big fan of the Essence Longlasting Lipsticks: they are pigmented, very comfortable on the lips and, at a price point of only €2.39, extremely affordable! Essence went for a matte finish this time, a berry red and a nude. I have way to many lipsticks but my collection just has to be complete!
